We are pleased to inform you about the opening of enrollment for the first master's degree program «Modern technologies of visualization and analysis of living systems» in Russia!
The program is implemented jointly with the Faculty of Biology and Institute of Physics of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "Saratov National Research State University named after N.G. Chernyshevsky" (SSU).
The head of the program Semyachkina-Glushkovskaya Oksana Valerevna is a leader in the study of the lymphatic system of the brain in Russia, Deputy Director for commercialization of scientific developments of the Scientific Medical Center of SSU, Chair of the Department of Human and Animal Physiology of the Faculty of Biology of SSU.
The urgency of creating a master's degree program is dictated by large-scale changes in neurophysiology associated with the grandiose discovery of the immune system of the brain and its lymphatic vessels, which requires a radical revision of scientific knowledge and educational programs related to the study of the restorative resources of the nervous system during sleep. This discovery changes the worldview about the possibilities of controlling the regenerative properties of the sleeping brain with the help of "Smart Sleep" technologies. The master's degree program will include a new online course based on the creation of lectures in an accessible popular science style using modern virtual reality technologies, which is ideally combined with the need to popularize the received pioneering scientific knowledge that is not yet present in classical textbooks. The Master's degree program teaches the development of breakthrough technologies for in-life visualization of living objects, including the brain, and also provides unique opportunities for the development of breakthrough technologies for the treatment of brain diseases on their basis and obtaining grants to finance scientific ideas.

Performing research using unique scientific equipment on the basis of world-class scientific laboratory "Smart Sleep" created with the support of a mega grant (075-15-2019-1885) of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The teachers of the program are leading experts in the field of experimental neurophysiology, optics and biophysics, who have unique experience in developing pioneering technologies for neurorehabilitation medicine, such as technologies for removing toxins and metabolites from brain tissue during sleep, photo-suppression of glioma growth, laser stimulation of brain drainage function, drug delivery to the brain using loud music and photodynamic effects, etc.
Involvement of foreign world leaders in the field of visualization and analysis of living systems, Russian employees of leading research centers and research and production companies in the training process.
Obtaining qualifications in a new promising field of experimental medicine.
Form of education: full-time.
Training period: 2 years.
